WORKSHOPS
︎︎︎ MODEL MAKING 21-22

The studio reflects the idea of an integral approach to architecture, embedded in local context, local materials and local craftsmanship. The design becomes the outcome of the act of building rather than the result of conceptual and aesthetic decisions.

DESIGN

17/11/2021    ︎︎︎    13/01/2022

Within this context the pre-industrialized concept of a master-builder might just come back.
A professional architect should become more hybrid again. He/she should understand the flows and larger network that is touched by his/her design. He/she must research and understand ‘design’ as the result of materials knowledge, social processes and local context. The studio wants to help develop a meaningful alternative approach to the production, construction and use of human resources and infrastructure.
