The HOTSPOT

The HOTSPOT
The HOTSPOT is a place where connections between people and the oven provide a well-defined dynamic to the site. This dynamic is a result of a tension between the free-standing object with its functions and the people around it. The closer to the HOTSPOT the more dynamic the field of tension. The chosen space around the oven gives it a circular rotation, thus also becoming a new landmark for the site. It will not only be a landmark for the site but also for the city of Vilvoorde. Through the generous interactions with the city this project will be realized. The typical shape fits in with the environment and forms a single line with the existing site. It is also a statement where we go off-grid from the existing which adds a tension to the dynamics.
