THE ACT OF BUILDING
ON CIRCULAR MATERIALS AND PROCESSES
Climate mitigation requires a new attitude to materials and innovation in ecological and environmental engineering. In order to have a positive impact on our society, architects need to intervene beyond the narrow definition of the professional who designs and controls the execution of buildings. By researching circular building materials and developing more socially supported building processes, the architect can contribute to a better world. Hence this studio ventures into the study of local raw building materials and construction waste and into the design of new building materials influencing durable and locally anchored design and construction processes.
